Scam Alert: Fake Emails Pretending to Be Mehrad Mazaheri

Someone is emailing my clients and pretending to be me

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Someone has been emailing my clients and pretending to be me. If you got a Mehrad Mazaheri email and you are not sure it is real, this page will help you check. The scammer uses free Gmail accounts set up to look like mine and switches to a new address each time.

When clients trust your name, scammers try to borrow it. I have worked in web design and digital marketing for over 10 years, and the trust my clients place in me is what these people are trying to use.

This post shows you the two addresses I really use, the fake ones found so far, how to spot new ones, and how to report them to me.

My real email addresses: mehrad@mazaheri.ca and mehrad@vmweb.ca

I use only two email addresses with clients: mehrad@mazaheri.ca and mehrad@vmweb.ca. Both reach me directly. VMWEB is my web studio, so you may get emails from me at either one.

If an email says it is from me but comes from any other address, do not reply to it. Do not click its links, open its attachments, send money, or share logins. This applies even when the email uses my name, my photo, or my signature.

Not sure about a message? Write a new email to mehrad@mazaheri.ca and ask me, or call me at +1 236-235-5002. Do not use the reply button on the suspicious email.

Fake email addresses pretending to be me

These addresses are not mine. If you get an email from either one, it is a scam:

  • sales.mazaheri.ca@gmail.com
  • monique.wordrsuccor@gmail.com

The first one puts “mazaheri.ca” before “@gmail.com” so it looks like my website at a glance. My real addresses end in @mazaheri.ca or @vmweb.ca, never @gmail.com.

I will add new fake addresses here as people report them. A new Gmail account takes minutes to create, so an address that is missing from this list is not safe. The rule stays simple: if it is not mehrad@mazaheri.ca or mehrad@vmweb.ca, it is not me.

How to spot a fake email that uses my name

  • Check the real address, not the name. Email apps show the sender’s name first, and anyone can type any name. Tap or hover over the name to see the full address.
  • Look at what comes after the @. Mine end in @mazaheri.ca or @vmweb.ca. Anything ending in @gmail.com, @outlook.com, @yahoo.com or another domain is not me.
  • Watch for look-alikes. Scammers copy parts of my name or domain into their address, or register domains that are one letter off, such as mazaheri.co, mazaher1.ca or vmweb.co.
  • Be wary of pressure. A message that pushes you to pay today, fix an “urgent” website problem, or answer quickly is a common scam sign.
  • Double-check any request for money or access. Paying a new account, sharing website or hosting logins, or adding someone as an admin should always be confirmed with me through mehrad@mazaheri.ca first.

Got a fake email? Please report it to me

If you see someone pretending to be me, please tell me. Every report helps me warn other clients and get these accounts shut down.

  1. Do not reply, click links or open attachments.
  2. Forward it to me at mehrad@mazaheri.ca. If your email app has “Forward as attachment,” use it, because it keeps technical details that help with reports. Tell me the sender’s address and the date you got it. I will add new addresses to the list above.
  3. Report it in your inbox. In Gmail, open the message, click the three-dot menu and choose “Report phishing.” In Outlook, select the message, click “Report” and choose “Phishing.”
  4. Report the Gmail account to Google with the Gmail abuse form. Google asks for one report per address.
  5. If you sent money or shared a login, call your bank right away and change the affected passwords. Then report it to your local police and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre online or at 1-888-495-8501. The Centre asks people to report even when no money was lost.

Frequently asked questions

Which Mehrad Mazaheri email addresses are real?

They are mehrad@mazaheri.ca and mehrad@vmweb.ca. These are the only two addresses I use with clients.

Is sales.mazaheri.ca@gmail.com Mehrad Mazaheri’s email?

No. It is a fake Gmail account made to look like my domain. Do not reply to it, and please forward any message from it to mehrad@mazaheri.ca.

Is monique.wordrsuccor@gmail.com connected to Mehrad Mazaheri?

No. I do not use this address, and nobody uses it on my behalf. Treat any email from it that mentions me as a scam.

I already replied to a fake email. What should I do?

Stop replying, and do not send money, files or logins. If you shared a password, change it now. If you made a payment, call your bank right away. Then forward the emails to me so I can help you check what was shared.

Does getting one of these emails mean my account was hacked?

Not by itself. The scammer sends these from Gmail accounts they created. Still, if you clicked a link or typed a password after opening one, change that password and turn on two-step verification.

Will the list of fake addresses be updated?

Yes. I will add each new address that clients report and update the date at the top of this post.
