WordPress maintenance that keeps your site fast and safe

Updates, security, backups and speed handled every month by a senior WordPress developer — not a ticket queue. Your site stays fast, safe and online while you run your business, and when something breaks at 9pm, you message the person who can actually fix it.

An unmaintained WordPress site is a countdown

WordPress runs on updates: core, themes and plugins patch security holes weekly, and skipping them is how sites end up hacked, blacklisted by Google, or quietly broken after an auto-update collides with an old plugin. Most owners discover neglect the expensive way — a white screen on a Monday morning, or a malware warning where their homepage used to be.

My maintenance plans make that someone else’s problem — specifically, mine. Updates are applied on a schedule and tested, backups run daily to off-site storage and are periodically restore-tested (a backup you have never restored is a hope, not a plan), uptime and malware monitoring run around the clock, and speed gets reviewed so the site does not slowly bloat itself sluggish — which matters for rankings as much as visitors.

Plans include a monthly report of everything done and time for small content edits — the “can you swap this photo” jobs that never justify an invoice on their own. Sites I have built myself get a preferred rate, and stores get WooCommerce-aware care where an hour of downtime is real money. Tell me about your site and get a plan quote within two days.

The site just works now. Updates happen, backups exist, and I have not thought about hosting in a year.

Everything a healthy site needs monthly

01

Core, theme & plugin updates

Applied on schedule and tested — with rollbacks ready — so patches never take your site down with them.

02

Daily off-site backups

Automated daily backups stored off-server, retention you can rely on, and periodic restore tests to prove they work.

03

Security & malware monitoring

Firewall, scanning and blacklist monitoring around the clock. If something gets in, cleanup is included, not extra.

04

Uptime monitoring

Your site checked every minute. If it goes down, I usually know before you do — and I am already on it.

05

Speed optimization

Caching, image optimization and database cleanup reviewed regularly, keeping Core Web Vitals green.

06

Support & small edits

Monthly time for content swaps and tweaks, plus a plain-English report of everything done.

Maintenance questions, answered honestly

What’s included in your WordPress maintenance plan?

Updates (tested, with rollbacks), daily off-site backups, security and uptime monitoring, malware cleanup, speed optimization and monthly support time for small edits — itemized in a written plan, reported monthly.

How do you keep my website secure?

+

Layers: prompt tested updates, firewall and malware scanning, login hardening, and daily off-site backups as the last line of defence. If a site on my watch is compromised, cleanup and restoration are included — that risk is mine to carry, not yours.

Will you fix things that break, like plugin conflicts?

+

Yes — troubleshooting broken plugins, theme conflicts and errors is core to the plan, not an upsell. Because updates are tested before going live, most conflicts get caught before your visitors ever see them.

Can you make my website faster?

+

Almost always. Onboarding includes a speed baseline, and plans include ongoing optimization: caching, image compression, database cleanup and the removal of the plugin bloat that accumulates in every WordPress site over time.

Do you back up my site, and can it actually be restored?

+

Daily, off-site, with retention — and periodically restore-tested, because an untested backup is a hope, not a plan. If the worst happens, your site comes back from yesterday, not from memory.
